Hey! Hope you’re having a great day.
So, you may or may not be familiar with Augustus, from ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ written by John Green. Anyway, he is my favorite fictional character, and hence I have written a few letters addressed to him. (Post death)
They are imagined to be written by Hazel Grace, Augustus’ girlfriend.
So here we go!!!
To the star-crossed love of my life,
I keep writing to you, hopeful my letters will someday reach the stars, to you. But I secretly wish I’d reach there before the letters. And that would mean that I had let cancer win. But, hadn’t we always known that cancer would, in the end, get the better of us? We were just fighting a battle in which we knew we were gonna lose; but oh, the irony, we HAD to keep fighting.
Out of the 7 billion population on the earth, cancer chose you, just like I had. Only, cancer won. For the first time in my life, I had found someone who helped me breathe better, even without my oxygen tank. And Augustus, I can’t tell you how thankful I am for that. Even without you being physically present here, I can always feel your breath on cheeks, and smell your fragrance.
Don’t worry, Augustus, I’ll be there soon.
I’ll be updating and adding more letters soon!
